Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control District

The Air Pollution Control District is responsible for developing emission and ambient air standards, monitoring air quality in Louisville, and tracking trends in the surrounding metropolitan area. The agency’s goals are to ensure healthy air for breathing while helping local industries and businesses meet local, state and national air emission standards.
