  • West Jefferson County Community Task Force: WJCCTF was established by the Jefferson County Division of Environmental Health and Protection to identify environmental problems in the West Louisville area. The Task Force includes representatives from 12 neighborhoods in West Louisville, three at-large citizen members and representatives of DuPont, DuPont Dow Elastomers, Rohm & Haas, Zeon, and the Metropolitan Sewer District.
  • Metro 4 and SESARM: Metro 4 is the association of local (city and county) air pollution control agencies in the southeastern states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee (US EPA Region 4).  SESARM is the Southeastern States Air Resource Managers, the organization of state air pollution control areas in the same states.

National and International

  • Air & Waste Management Association: An international organization of air pollution control and waste management professionals in government, consulting and industry.
  • AirHead.org: The website of the Community Energy Division of the Center for Neighborhood Technology. The site includes emissions calculators people can use to estimate their environmental impact, as well as primers on air pollution's impacts, sources, laws, and solutions, information on how the respiratory and cardiovascular systems are affected by air pollution, case studies on energy consumption and a forum.
  • Center for Air Pollution Impact and Trend Analysis (CAPITA) at Washington University of St. Louis
  • STAPPA/ALAPCO: State and Territorial Air Pollution Program Administrators and Association of Local Air Pollution Control Officials
  • NARSTO: A public/private partnership, whose membership spans government, the utilities, industry, and academe throughout Mexico, the United States, and Canada. Its primary mission is to coordinate and enhance policy-relevant scientific research and assessment of tropospheric pollution behavior; its activities provide input for science-based decision-making and determination of workable, efficient, and effective strategies for local and regional air-pollution management. (NARSTO originally stood for " North American Research Strategy for Tropospheric Ozone.") 
  • US Public Interest Research Groups: The national advocacy office of the state Public Interest Research Groups.
