Comment Period Extended on Proposed STAR Permits

The Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control District (District) extended the public comment period to end on February 28, 2009, to issue STAR permits and on its determination of approvability of the environmental acceptability demonstrations, in accordance with Regulation 5.21 Environmental Acceptability for Toxic Air Contaminants, for the following companies: Caldwell Tanks, GE Consumer and Industrial, American Synthetic Rubber, Kentucky Manufacturing, Conco Inc., University of Louisville, E.I. DuPont de Nemours, Nuplex Resins, Industrial Container Services, Sam Meyers, Louisville Medical Center Steam Plant, LG&E Mill Creek, LG&E Cane Run, Brown-Forman Early Times, Ford Motor Co LAP, Ford Motor Co. KTP, Outer Loop Recycling, Oxy Vinyls, Carbide Industries, and United Parcel Services.

Drafts of the permits and related documents were available for review at the District office, 850 Barret Ave, Louisville between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Written comments were accepted by Eva Addison, Permitting Engineering Supervisor, at the District office until 5:00 p.m. February 28, 2009.
