An Air Quality Alert has been declared for the Louisville area for Wednesday, June 24, 2009. The air quality index (AQI) is expected to be in the Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups range.  The AQI is expected to reach 106.  The determining pollutant is ozone.

Sensitive groups include active children and adults, and people with lung diseases, such as asthma.  These groups should reduce prolonged or heavy exertion outdoors.
