Proposed Agreed Board Order with Louisville Gas and Electric Company

Notice of Public Hearing

The Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control Board will hold a public hearing on November 20, 2013, on a proposed Agreed Board Order with Louisville Gas and Electric Company. LG&E is alleged to have violated District Regulations 1.05 (Compliance with Emission Standards and Maintenance), 1.07 (Excess Emissions During Startups, Shutdowns, and Upset Conditions), 1.09 (Prohibition of Air Pollution), 1.13 (Control of Objectionable Odors in the Ambient Air), 1.14 (Control of Fugitive Particulate Emissions), and 7.08 (Standards of Performance for New Process Operations) at its facility located at 5252 Cane Run Road in Jefferson County, Kentucky.

Written comments from the public will be accepted by the Board, Rachael Hamilton, Secretary-Treasurer, Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control District, 850 Barret Ave., Louisville, KY 40204-1745, until 5:00 p.m. November 19, 2013. Written comments will also be accepted electronically until the same deadline via the Internet at the e-mail address “airorders @ louisvilleky.gov”. Oral statements will be accepted at the public hearing on November 20, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. in the Board Room, 850 Barret Ave, Louisville.
