Rohm and Haas Title V Operating Permit Revision and Construction Permit Revisions

Notice of Action on a Title V Operating Permit

The Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control District (District) proposes to issue a renewal operating permit to Rohm and Haas - Louisville Plant (resin and coating manufacturing), 4300 Camp Ground Road, in accordance with  Regulation 2.16. The 30-day public comment period starts May 12, 2014 and ends on June 11, 2014. A public hearing may be scheduled if the District determines that there are germane, unresolved issues or substantial public interest, in accordance with Regulation 2.07.

The Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control District (District) proposes to revise two construction permits for Rohm and Haas – Louisville Plant (resin and coating manufacturing plant), 4300 Campground Road, in accordance with Regulation 2.03. Permit 449-90-C is being revised to clarify compliance and to reflect changes to the Hazardous Waste Combustion MACT. Permit 523-07-C is being revised to designate condenser is process recovery equipment. The 30-day public comment period starts May 12, 2014 and ends on June 11, 2014. A public hearing may be scheduled if the District determines that there are germane, unresolved issues or substantial public interest, in accordance with Regulation 2.07.

Drafts of the permits are available at the District office, 850 Barret Ave., Louisville, between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday by calling Paul Aud at (502) 574-6000, or emailing airpermits @ louisvilleky.gov or at the following website: http://www.louisvilleky.gov/APCD/Docket.htm. Copies of the application are available upon request.  Written comments will be accepted at the District office until 5:00 p.m. on June 11, 2014.
