This page is about meetings and actions of the Ozone Air Quality Task Force in 2008.
The task force's responsibility was to identify, evaluate and recommend strategies to the Air Pollution Control Board as the Board revised the State Implementation Plan that outlines how the community will meet the current and proposed more stringent standards for ozone. The panel included business leaders, environmental activists, neighborhood representatives, regional representatives and local government representatives. Bruce Traughber, director of the Economic Development Department (which includes APCD), chairs the Task Force.
The Ozone Air Quality Task Force was reconvened in January 2008, after being deactivated in 2006. It concluded its work after two meetings.
