How to Use Metro AIR NET

Hourly Data

The illustration below shows how to use the Metro AIR NET Hourly Data web page that can display ambient air pollution data for today (or any previous date back to January 2001).  Click on the image below to animate it (774 KB).  The new version looks different than the illustration.  The instructions are the same, except that you can now click on the map to select a location.

Air Quality Index

For the Metro AIR NET Air Quality Index page, the latest air quality index appears immediately.  As with the Hourly Data page, you can select a different day, but you can also specify the time of day.  After changing the date or time, click the "Get Data" button to update the display.  The "Details" button will let you see more information, such as the location and hour (EST) of the highest reading and the air quality index for other pollutants. (Only one pollutant is the determining pollutant.)
