Notes: Bold red indicates 8-hour or 1-hour exceedances.  The 1-hr ozone standard is 0.12 ppm; an exceedance is a value greater than or equal to 125 ppb.  The 8-hr ozone standard is 0.08 ppm; an exceedance is a value greater than or equal to 85 ppb.
OAD = Ozone Action Day.   Fcst. = Forecast.  Off = Monitor was offline or data were unavailable.

1IDEM voided these readings due to water in the probe line.

3 8-Hour NAAQS: Attainment ofthe 8-hour ozone National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS) at an individualmonitor is achieved when the three-year average of the annual fourth-highestdaily maximum (4th maximum) 8-h average ozone concentrationsis less than or equal to 84 ppb. This three-year average is the design valuefor that monitor.

Table 4: 8-Hr Ozone 4th Maximum and Design Values Summary

This table shows the annual fourth-highest 8-hour daily maximum for each site and the ozone design values for the 3-year periods 1999-2001 and 2000-2002.

  • The 1999-2001 design value for the Louisville MSA is 91 ppb
  • The 2000-2002 design value for the Louisville MSA is 90 ppb (pending further quality assurance)
