Metro Animal Services Announces Upcoming Rabies Clinics

Metro Animal Services will hold several rabies, license and microchip clinics this year at the Animal Care Center located at 3705 Manslick Road, in Shively and also other locations.  The first clinic planned will be on May 12 at the Salvation Army located at 1010 Beecher Street.Each clinic will be the first Wednesday of the month beginning in April and ending in September. The dates and times are as follows:

Wednesday, April 6, 2011 – 4-7 pm

Wednesday, May 4, 2011 - 4-7 pm

Wednesday, June 1, 2011 – 4-7 pm

Location Change - The last two clinics will be held at the Animal House Adoption Center, 3516 Newburg Road - 473-PETS (7387)  

Wednesday, August 3, 2011 – 4-7 pm

Wednesday, September 7, 2011 – 4-7 pm

Metro Animal Services’ staff veterinarian will administer rabies vaccines, implant microchips at affordable prices and issue licenses on a first-come, first-serve basis. The one-year rabies and licensing packages will cost $12.50 for seniors (for up to two altered pets), $17.00 for owners of altered pets, and $58.00 for residents with unaltered pets. The three-year rabies and licensing packages will cost $24.50 for seniors and $36.00 for owners of altered pets. Proof of spay/neuter must be provided for owners (if not provided previously) to receive a discount on their licenses. Microchips are available for $25.
