Break the Stereotype

Tuesday November 1, 2011

Were you the chubby kid in school? Or labeled the nerd?
This is the way some of the animals at Louisville Metro Animal Services are feeling right now! They have been waiting for weeks to find a lovely home and have been overlooked… some for their age, color of their fur or even their breed!

“We want to make sure the community is aware of the great attributes and loving characteristics these cats and dogs have,” said Louisville Animal Services Director Justin Scally. “It breaks my heart when I hear people say that cat is too old or that pit bull looks too mean.”

In all actuality, these are some of the most-well behaved, loving animals at Animal House Adoption Center. In an effort to find a great home and give these animals a second chance, a $9 adoption special is in place. Make time over the next few days to visit Animal House Adoption Center (3516 Newburg Road) Tuesday – Sunday from 12 -6 p.m. (7 p.m. on Wednesday) to meet these cats and dogs. You will instantly see why they are beautiful on the inside and out!
