Metro Animal Services Investigates Suspicious Cat Death

Louisville Metro Department of Animal Services’ (LMAS) is investigating a serious case of animal cruelty and is hoping the community can help with additional information.
After receiving an anonymous call Friday afternoon, LMAS officers found the cat in the Roses Department Store parking lot (3220 Crums Ln., corner of Crums & Cane Run).
The brown and black cat suffered severe injuries including major head trauma and broken hind legs. The extent of the injuries made it impossible to determine gender of the cat.
Investigators are calling the cat’s death suspicious and are asking anyone with information to call LMAS at (502) 363-6609.
