Bruster’s Ice Cream Is Having a Furry Friends Fundraiser!
Friday May 29, 2009
Enjoy a cool ice cream cone while helping your furry friends at Metro Animal Services by visiting Bruster’s Ice Cream Friday, June 5 through Sunday, June 7. Bruster’s Ice Cream, located at 700 Lyndon Lane, will donate $1 to MAS for every waffle cone they sell. The goal is to generate $1500. Bruster’s will also collect donated items for the shelter. S.P.O.T., the 34-foot mobile adoption unit, will be on hand with adoptable animals hoping to find a new loving home during the event.
“We are really excited about working with Bruster’s to raise funds for MAS and to showcase our adoptable animals,” said Jackie Gulbe, assistant director for community relations. “This time of year is the perfect time to adopt an animal and we have plenty to choose from.”
“People come to Bruster’s Ice Cream with their pets all the time. We are a very family-oriented business and of course when we say family, that includes pets too,” said Terri Guenthenspberger, owner of Bruster’s Ice Cream. “We have so many customers who are animal lovers that it just seemed like a perfect fundraiser for us.”
