Metro Animal Services and Metro Police Looking for Owners of Mutilated Cats
Metro Animal Services and Metro Police are looking for the owners of the two cats that were found tortured and mutilated on December 4, behind the Kroger located at 5001 Mud Lane.

Mayor Cuts Ribbon On ‘Animal House’
With a cut of the ribbon, Mayor Jerry Abramson opened Animal House, Metro Animal Services’ new, state-of-the-art animal adoption center today. The 10,000 square foot facility, located at 3516 Newburg Road, will showcase the many adoptable animals under the care of Metro Animal Services until they can find a permanent home with a new family. “Pet lovers will be impressed by this new facility,” Abramson said. “It features all the amenities citizens would find in a pet retail store with the added benefit of helping an animal in need. It provides much-needed space for Metro Animal Services and will take the department to the next level of customer service.”

A Holiday Gift to Pet Owners: Licensing Late Fees Waived!
In the spirit of the upcoming holiday season, Metro Animal Services (MAS) is giving pets and their owners a gift: MAS is waiving the licensing late fees for cats, dogs and ferrets whose licenses have either lapsed or have never been purchased. Late fees can range from $17.64 for altered animals to $30.12 for unaltered animals. Waiving these fees will save pet owners money and is an opportunity not to be missed!

Additional $5,000 Reward Being Offered for Hope's Case
Reward for information leading to arrest of those who threw 'Hope' the Border collie from a car on I-65 last week increased from $2500 to $7500 thanks to anonymous donor.
