The statewide celebration is designed to celebrate and recognize the unique and life-changing role that animals play in the lives of citizens.
“We hope that animal lovers who are looking for a new cat or dog will consider making a conscientious decision to save a life,” said Jackie Gulbe, assistant director for community relations. “Summer is a great time to adopt, because the shelter has a large selection and people tend to have a little extra time to spend with an animal.”
Animals adopted from MAS come with a complete adoption package that includes spaying or neutering, vaccinations, a microchip, license (four months and older) and pet product coupons as they apply.
