Participate in the Spay Day Photo Contest and Help Raise for Metro Animal Services

Thursday January 21, 2010

Shutterbugs grab your camera and your favorite furry friend! The Humane Society of the United States’ Spay Day Photo Contest has begun. Metro Animal Services (MAS) can be designated as a recipient of funds raised from the nationwide contest. The online contest allows you to post pictures of your pet by going to www. humanesociety.org/photocontest. Then you and others can vote for your favorite. If posting a picture isn’t your thing, you can still vote. Each vote for your pet costs just $1, with the money going to support spay/neuter services provided by MAS. Either way you can win prizes and raise lifesaving funds for spay/neuter by entering your pet's picture in the Spay Day 2010 Online Pet Photo Contest, which runs from Jan. 20-Mar. 4, 2010.

MAS has participated in Spay Day USA for the past three years. MAS will reach out again to low income individuals and families to provide a limited number of first-come first serve, spay/neuter services, free of charge. MAS spayed and neutered over 3,400 animals in 2009.
