Floyd Goes The Distance

A month ago I adopted Floyd, a 10 year old red/brown hound mix. A Canadian rescue group, Hopeful Hearts brought him from Kentucky all the way to Ottawa, Ontario, Canada’s capital city. He was being fostered in my neighbourhood, and it was love at first sight. I ran home and called my husband to tell him I fell in love and that we were getting a 3rd dog. It took a while for him to be healthy enough to adopt, but our 2 black labs now have an older brother they love. Floyd’s favourite thing to do is run on the horse trails and chase squirrels and deer. He is part coon hound, but we call him our couch hound as he also loves to snuggle and watch TV. As he was a stray, he was skinny and sick, but is now a healthy weight and doing great. I am so glad you were able to give him the help he needed and I wanted you to know that he is happy and well loved.
