MASON is a fabulous, long-haired kitten who had a rough start in his first four months of life. He faced some tough challenges in a short time. Before he came to Metro Animal Services, someone placed three Mason jar lid rings around his neck, which he was dangerously close to growing into! Upon arrival at MAS, the newly-dubbed "Mason" was freed from the metal rings by MAS vet staff. He spent some time recuperating at one of our vet staff’s home before making his way to Animal House Adoption Center. Despite trying to find a forever home for almost three months, Mason and the adoptions staff wouldn’t give up. His play time and continued love from staff and volunteers helped socialize him and it finally paid off. A couple of weeks ago all of the hard work resulted in a new, loving and long term home. Well, let's let the new family expand:
“Thank you so much for following up! Mason's new name is Raja. He is settling in very well, we are very proud of him. He and our other cat are already best friends. And his confidence is building every day. He will even sleep in my bed for short periods of time. He's becoming more affectionate too, and he loves to have his belly rubbed. We are absolutely in love with him. Thank you so much for taking such good care of him while he was there."
