Tour De Olmsted
Don't miss Tour de Olmsted, a cycling festival taking place Saturday, June 13 in Iroquois Park.

The festival features the Kentucky State Hill Climb Championship, a family bike tour, circuit racing and a bicycle safety seminar.

Two Wheel Tuesdays

A cool bicycling event known as Two Wheel Tuesdays has started on on Frankfort Avenue.  You're invited to ride along historic Frankfort Avenue beginning at 6 p.m. Restaurants along the route will offer food and drink specials, and free valet parking will be available at Quest Outdoors, 2330 Frankfort in Clifton.

The evenings are designed to be casual events for cyclists to converge to show off their bikes, talk shop, get exercise and grab some food or shop along Frankfort.

Even if you're doing one of the many regular Tuesday night rides tonight around town - stop by after the ride and join in the fun! This event is developing and hopefully growing as the Frankfort Avenue Business Association takes a look at the interest among cyclists - like you.

Join Mayor Jerry Abramson and Metro Parks for a public update on plans for the Louisville Loop, a 100-mile walking, jogging and biking path that will encircle our entire community, tying together parks, neighborhoods and workplaces.  It’s already nearly 25% complete, and plans are underway to expand it, as part of the Mayor’s City of Parks initiative!

At this ‘open house’ you'll be able to ask questions and learn more about the existing and planned segments of the Louisville Loop. Maps of each segment will be on display! Once you’re up to speed on the Loop plans, you can explore the Louisville Loop by bike or on foot, or tour the historic Farnsley-Moremen House.
Questions? Call 456-8100 or e-mail parks@louisvilleky.gov

This is a great opportunity to have a group ride along the loop from downtown to the Farnsley-Moreman Landing!
Watch for details on a possible ride developing by visiting or joining KyCycList online discussion forum: http://www.kycyclist.org/

Reporting Issues with Bike Lanes/Paths
MetroCall 311's online issue reporting system
now includes a category for reporting issues with bike lanes. Please save this link and use it if you need to...

Note: We are aware of a new sink hole that has formed on the bike lane on Market Street near Hancock and Clay Street and we've reported it. We have also fielded many calls about some areas of concern along River Road and are doing a site visit today with Metro Public Works to look at a solution to fix the roadway.
