How does it Work?
Louisville's Bike to Work Day Celebration is taking place on Friday, September 30. 3 locations around town will be set up at 7 a.m. so commuters can meet up and ride with others. Then at lunchtime at 4th Street Live downtown, we get together to celebrate the bicycle and give away a bike!
Leading up to the event, we're working to make a bike commuter out of YOU! We're offering free bike escorts if you want to try bicycle commuting, and a commuter challenge!

Louisville Bike to Work Challenge
September 16-29, 2011
A friendly competition for our Fall Bike To Work Day to encourage people in the Louisville area to use bikes for transportation! All work or errands trips count as one point. Most points wins! Organize a team of your colleagues, neighbors, friends, etc. (only the top five scores in a team will count toward the challenge total). Who will win the coveted Golden Handlebars and be recognized before the whole city at our 4th Street Live celebration! Join the challenge here.

Bike to Work Celebration
Celebration at 4th Street Live! Join Bike Louisville's own Kirby Adams at 12 noon on Friday, September 30th at 4th Street Live! to meet up with other commuters, learn more about bicycle commuting, visit with vendors and just 
celebrate the bicycle! And one of the lucky bike to work day registrants will win a new Trek 7000 commuting bike, with packs and rack, no purchase necessary! We will also be giving out Louisville's printed bike map and drawing for other prizes!
Bike to Work Day on September, 30th will happen rain or shine.
We will be riding back to the meet and rides from 4th Street Live! at 5:15 p.m.
The Meet & Ride locations feature parking if you are driving and will allow you to ride with other riders and ride captains from the Louisville Bicycle Club! Riders must have a helmet.
