Brightside Presents the Fall 2011 Golden Broom Awards

Brightside's Executive Director, Michael Seebert, awarded the Golden Broom to Council President Jim King and Councilman James Peden, September 22.
Brightside's Volunteer Coordinator, Mary Byrne, said that the Golden Brooms are given to two Council members each season to honor their commitment to Brightside and their district's participation in the Community-Wide Cleanup. Criteria is determined by growth.
Council President Jim King won for having the largest increase in volunteers from Fall 2010 to Spring 2011. District 10 had nearly a 32% increase in volunteer participation.
Councilman James Peden won for having the largest increase in group participation from Fall 2010 to Spring 2011. District 23 increased group participation by 400%.
Congratulations to the Fall 2011 Golden Broom winners and to their district's volunteers.
