24th Annual Brightside/Coca-Cola Volleyball Classic
Hundreds of teams volley for a cleaner, greener Louisville during the Brightside/Coca-Cola Volleyball Classic
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The 24th Annual Brightside/Coca-Cola Volleyball Classic promises a lot of action as hundreds of players including local media celebrities, public officials and Brightside board members will set, volley and spike for a cleaner, greener Louisville. Participating teams represent 32 cities and four states.
The volleyball classic will be held at Seneca Park and the sand division games at Baxter Jacks, this Saturday, July 20 at 9:30 a.m. to dusk and continue at the same time on Sunday, July 21.
A special Celebrity Match featuring local media personalities, Brightside board members and The Mayor’s Players will take place near the large tent in Seneca Park, Saturday, 10 a.m. The media team members include:

· Tom Lane, WDRB
· Jessica Smith, Today's Woman
· Kristin Riddick, Newstalk 1570
On Sunday, top teams will compete for the Championship. Admission is free for spectators and features an on-site food vendor and merchandise tent.
The tournament, sponsored by Coca-Cola for the 24th year, is open to all levels of play. Additional support comes from Republic Bank, Swags Sport Shoes, Buffat Plumbing, Heating & Air and Metro Parks. Proceeds benefit Brightside’s beautification and environmental stewardship programs.
