Michael Seebert Named Interim Director of Brightside
Michael Seebert has been named interim director of Brightside, Mayor Abramson and the Brightside board of directors announced today.
Seebert replaces Cynthia Knapek, who resigned last month to take a position with Leadership Louisville.
“It is an honor to serve Louisville through Brightside” Seebert said. “The agency has such a great history and mission. Engaging citizens to keep Louisville clean, green and beautiful is something everyone can get behind.”
Brightside awards neighborhood and civic groups with NatureScape beautification grants
New community gardens, an urban orchard and an outdoor classroom will be springing to life around Louisville. Mayor Jerry Abramson today awarded Brightside NatureScape grants to seven organizations including schools, a nonprofit youth organization and a university for a variety of community garden and tree planting projects.
