ARRA (a.k.a. Stimulus) Projects and Outcomes

On February 17, 2009, President Barack Obama signed into law the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Recover Act). The Recovery Act provided our agency with $2.3 in additional funds to the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) program for Federal Fiscal Year 2009 through September 30, 2010. The Act had three main goals: |
1) Create new jobs and save existing ones
2) Spur economic activity and invest in long-term growth
3) Increase transparency in government spending
Our agency put this funding to work on five major projects and we are proud to share the results.
