Education in Action

 
The Education in Action Scholarship provided by Louisville Metro Community Action Partnership (CAP) offers funds towards college tuition and books for low-income residents who wish to attend post
secondary learning institutions. Applications are now being accepted for the Spring 2010 semester.

Applicants are required to enroll in CAP’s Support Services program and may also be required to complete up to forty (40) volunteer hours. The scholarship has the following eligibility requirements:
  • Resident of Louisville Metro
  • Enrollment in a vocational, two-year, or four-year degree program (in Louisville Metro)
  • 3.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA)
  • Meet income requirements (200% of federal poverty guidelines)

If recipients still meet the eligibility criteria they may renew the grant each semester. Scholarships will be available three times during the year, as funds are available. Please contact Joi Boyd at (502) 574-7301 with any questions.
