The Louisville Metro Community Action Partnership’s LIHEAP Subsidy Program begins on November 2, 2009. LIHEAP, the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program, provides financial assistance to help low income residents of Louisville pay their utility bills. The benefit amount that a household receives is based on its level of poverty and the type of fuel used for heating. The Subsidy component operates this year from November 2 through December 11, 2009.

All residents wishing to apply are required to have an appointment. Appointments will be scheduled, in person only, beginning Monday, October 26, 2009 at all three CAP locations:

Monday, October 26, 8 am - 4 pm
Tuesday, October 27, 8 am - 8 pm
