Summer Food Service Program for Children

Each summer, Louisville Metro Community Action Partnership (LMCAP) offers the Summer Food Service Program at numerous locations throughout the community for children. The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), provides free, nutritious meals for children one (1) to 18 years of age in Jefferson County during the summer when school is not in session. The 2011 Summer ended on August 5, 2011. |
The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) for children is federally funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and is a pass through grant from the Kentucky Department of Education. This project is also funded, in part, under a contract with the Cabinet for Health and Family Services with funds from the Community Services Block Grant Act of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
