Community Action Partnership
Louisville Metro Community Action Partnership (LMCAP), a part of Metro Louisvilleās Department of Community Services and Revitalization, is a public, non-profit entity within Jefferson County. Within the Commonwealth of Kentucky, there are 23 community action agencies that assisted over 489,000 individuals (or 11% of the population) in 2011. Nationally, the Community Action Network consists of 1,100 agencies that assist over 17 million low-income Americans achieve economic security.
Our programs include the self-sufficiency services, LIHEAP programming, Summer Food Service Programming, Micro Enterprise loans and small business assistance, and many more services that are of vital assistance to the citizens of Louisville Metro. In 2011, our programs assisted 45,000 of our neighbors within Jefferson County. |
