Neighborhood Place offers a variety of free workshops in April

Neighborhood Place locations all across Jefferson County offer free, valuable workshops and services year-round which are open to the community. Below are some of the highlighted events in April which include topics such as health screenings, parenting classes and disaster preparedness. April 12, HIV Screenings at Northwest Neighborhood Place, 12 pm – 4 pm

The Department of Health & Wellness will provide free HIV screenings for qualified individuals.

April 13, Free Cancer Screenings at Cane Run Neighborhood Place between 10 am – 3 pm
Farnsley Middle Community School, 3410 Lees Lane, 502.899.6842
The Norton Cancer Institute will provide free cancer screenings (mammograms, pap smears, colon or prostate exams) for qualified individuals without health insurance.

April 23, UPS Job Day at Northwest Neighborhood Place, 9 am – 2 pm

UPS will be on site to perform recruitment for available positions and provide information regarding their benefit options for employees particularly the educational aspects.

Attorneys will be on hand to answer questions about foreclosure defense, child support issues and criminal record expungements.
