Parkland Scholar House Groundbreaking
The groundbreaking for the Parkland Scholar House Groundbreaking took place on Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012 at 1309 Catalpa Street. Community Services and Revitalization has supported 3 Family Scholar House Projects to date, making Parkland Scholar House the 4th Scholar House in Louisville Metro. Family Scholar House, Inc. provides housing, daycare and other amenities to homeless single parents pursuing post-secondary educational opportunities. Metro is investing $500,000 to pay for new construction and rehabilitation of 48 apartment units.

YouthBuild to dedicate education building in Smoketown
The new YouthBuild education building, dedicated in May 2012, was constructed with help from a $750,000 federal grant through the Neighborhood Stabilization program of the t Metro Department of Community Services and Revitalization.
