Louisville Metro Government will hold a surplus vehicle auction on Tuesday August 19, 2014. The auction will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the Fleet Services Lot located at 3515 Newburg Road. Approximately 50 vehicles, including many Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptors will be up for auction.
Bidders may view and inspect the auction vehicles starting at 8:00 am the day of the auction, but will not be allowed to attempt to start them. The Auction Inventory List shows vehicles with salvage titles and missing keys. All vehicles will be sold “as is” and may be missing parts or equipment.
Any Police Equipment (decals, emergency lights, communication equipment, etc.) will be removed prior to any vehicle being removed from the lot. It is the Bidders responsibility to check on the Auction Inventory List for vehicles that have Salvage Titles or that do not have keys.
Payment for vehicles must be made by 2:00 p.m. on August 19. Winning bidders who do not pay for vehicles will be barred from future Louisville Metro Surplus Vehicle Auctions. All payments shall be made to Louisville Metro Government. Acceptable forms of payment are: local company check, Certified Check, Cashier’s Check, Money Order or cash. Checks shall be made payable to Louisville Metro Government.
All vehicles must be removed by 2:00 p.m. on the day of the auction or between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on August 20 or August 21. Purchases will be released only upon receipt of payment. Any vehicle remaining after 2:00 p.m. on August 22, 2014 will be taken to the Louisville Metro Tow Lot and bidders must pay the towing and storage fees unless prior arrangements are made with Louisville Metro Fleet Services for late pick-up.
Buyers must arrange and perform all loading and transportation of the property. Under no circumstances will Louisville/Jefferson County Metro Government assume responsibility for loading, shipping or transporting. No mechanical repairs of any kind may be performed on Metro property.
