Meditation comes in a lot of shapes, sizes, and varieties. While it can be a spiritual practice, it certainly doesn’t have to be. At its simplest, it is a form of being aware of one’s inner landscape and surroundings on a moment-by-moment basis. It is a skill that is cultivated over time. What is challenging, yet beautiful, is that there is no right or wrong way to meditate. It is simply a practice.
Most of our programming incorporates meditation at some level as a means to support inner peace, emotional and mental balance, and self-awareness, which is the foundation of all true paradigms of wellness. At Wellness 360, meditation is taught in a completely secular way, and is compatible with any faith or spiritual tradition. In fact, we strongly encourage anyone to explore meditation as a way to deepen one’s own experience in any way he or she sees fit.
We offer open to the public meditation on Friday evenings at 7pm. Donations are accepted, but not required. It is low key, come-as-you-are, and perfectly suitable for meditators of all levels. No experience is necessary. You can come at 630p if you are brand new to the practice and would like some additional instruction. BYO cushion if you’d like, otherwise, plenty of seating is available.
Feel free to contact us for any questions or concerns.
