According to the American Humane Association, an average of 400 to 500 domestic pets per year in the United States have tested positive for rabies. Make sure your pet isn’t one of them.
Besides vaccinations, you can get your pet licensed. Licensing your pet is extremely important and it’s the law. If a pet is ever lost, licensing can help reunite the pet with the owner. License numbers provide LMAS staff with the pet owner’s contact information. If a Metro Animal Control Officer finds a roaming dog or cat with a license, the officer will give the pet a ride home.
Be a responsible pet owner on May 10th; get your pet vaccinated, licensed and microchipped.
