Kentucky Center for African American Heritage
Start Date:
Saturday, February 22, 2014
End Date:
Saturday, February 22, 2014
Event Details:
ReVision is an exhibition of regional artists work that explores the world of art through the eyes of the visually impaired and re-examines the traditional gallery presentation as a tactile, auditory and spatial experience. Creating work specifically for this show, sculptors, textile artists, painters and new-media artists will be encouraged to challenge
both themselves and visitors to re-imagine the boundaries of art the way one experiences it. ReVision will be held at the Kentucky Center for African American Heritage, 1701 W Muhammad Ali Blvd. in Louisville on February 22 and will bring together artists and patrons for an evening of art, h’dourves and live music.
One hundred percent of auction proceeds benefit the education and early intervention of blind and visually impaired children in Kentucky. For over 29 years, VIPS has been the only agency to provide this critical service for children, between birth and five-years-old, across the state. With your participation and artwork contribution, we know this year’s auction will help us to continue this great tradition.
