Louisville Metro Domestic Violence Prevention Coordinating Council Fatality Review Committee 2009-2010 Report (2.2mb PDF File) |
 | The Criminal Justice Commission is responsible for criminal justice and public safety planning, research, and system-wide coordination and collaboration. The 27-member Commission Board is comprised of key local, state, and federal criminal justice and public safety representatives, metro government officials, as well as citizens representing the community.
As a member of the Louisville Metro Public Protection Department, the Criminal Justice Commission was given new responsibilities and its mission was expanded to “public safety” coordination and facilitation efforts. Acknowledging and building upon the Commission’s neutrality and exemplary history of facilitating successful projects, Mayor Abramson charged the Criminal Justice Commission with being the central point of contact and coordination for all Homeland Security funding, state and federal, for Louisville Metro Government.
