Metro Government Holds Major Vehicle Auction November 12

Monday November 5, 2007

Louisville Metro Government will hold a surplus vehicle auction on Monday, November 12 at 9:00 at the Metro Impoundment Lot, 1487 Frankfort Avenue, Louisville, Kentucky 40207.

A total of 85-90 vehicles, including many Ford Crown Victorias will be up for auction.

Acceptable forms of payment are certified check, cashier’s check and cash.

Vehicles purchased must be picked up by 3:00 p.m. on the day of the auction or between 1:00pm & 3:00 p.m. on the two days following the auction. This will be strictly enforced and any vehicle remaining after that time will be disposed of in another manner.

TERMS & CONDITIONS:

Payment is expected at the time of sale. Acceptable forms of payment are: Certified Check, Cashiers Check or Money Order or cash. Checks shall be made payable to Louisville/Jefferson County Metro Government.

SALES TAX: 6% KENTUCKY SALES TAX WILL BE APPLIED TO ALL PURCHASES WITH THE EXCEPTION OF AUTOMOBILES SOLD IN CERTAIN STATES (See “AUTOMOBILE PURCHASES” below for sale tax information on vehicles).

All vehicles must be removed by 3:00 p.m. on the day of the auction or between the hours of 1:00 p.m. & 3:00 p.m. on the two days following the auction. Purchases will be released only upon receipt of payment as specified.

BUYER BEWARE---All items are sold “as is”.

Successful bidders are responsible for loading and removal of any and all property awarded to them from the place where the property is located. The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including loading and transportation of the property. Under no circumstances will Louisville/Jefferson County Metro Government assume responsibility for loading or shipping or transporting.

AUTOMOBILE PURCHASES: A Kentucky sales tax of 6% will be applied to vehicles being sold to individuals in the following eight states: ARIZONA, CALIFORNIA, FLORIDA, INDIANA, MASSACHUSETTS, MICHIGAN, SOUTH CAROLINA & WASHINGTON.
