Green Roof The first "green" or "living" roof on a Louisville city-owned building is complete. City engineers expect the new roof - over the Metro Development Center at 444 S. 5th Street - to reduce energy costs. The roof has been planted with hardy vegetation and trees.

- Curbside Recycling - If you live in the Urban Services District (PDF map), Louisville Metro picks up your recycling every week. In other areas of the metro, private haulers are used. Find out more.

- Recycle Electronics, including computers, scanners, printers, monitors, tape and disk drives, electronic game systems, VCRs, CD players, digital cameras, copiers, cell phones, CD's and floppy disks.
