Olmsted Parks Conservancy is looking for volunteers to help restore, enhance and preserve the Olmsted parks. Make new friends, get some exercise, and have fun while making parks a more attractive part of the community.

Volunteers are also needed throughout the week. For more information about volunteer opportunities, and for information on how you or your organization can "adopt" a section of one of the parks:

What: Learn about stream ecology, aquatic insects, water quality assessment techniques and how to help improve water quality in our community. Easy hike.


Explore the Field

Where: Iroquois Park—Meet at Jacob’s Shelter (near playground and Summit Field)

What: Exploration of Summit Field. Easy hike.

What: Learn about the design, history, and ecology of Shawnee Park while walking along the loop and river walk. Easy hike.
