Any person who prepares and portions ready-to -eat food in an approved kitchen and then serves the food offsite at a pre determined/contracted location for invited guest of a professional or social function. All food preparation and ware washing must take place in the approved kitchen. See requirements.
The caterer shall supply suitable and adequate equipment to protect the food from contamination and/or adulteration during preparation, transportation, display and service and shall demonstrate the capability for maintaining the foods at safe temperatures until the food is served. Caterers must comply with the Louisville Metro’s Food Manager requirement, pursuant to Louisville Metro Code of Ordinances Chapter 118
