The Department of Public Health & Wellness Holds Ribbon Cutting for the New Bike Lockers
Louisville Metro Government has started a new Bike Library for employees to check out bikes for travel to meetings or during lunch.  The Department of Public Health & Wellness now has three bikes for employees stored in bike lockers and three lockers are open for public use. Read more.


The Department of Public Health & Wellness Receives a Grant to Fight Childhood Obesity
The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation awarded the Mayor's Healthy Hometown Movement a grant for nearly $400,000 for childhood obesity prevention. The Healthy Kids, Healthy Communities initiative will address policies and environmental changes with a special focus in twelve Louisville neighborhoods. Learn more.

Louisville is named Most Livable City by the U.S. Conference of Mayors
The City Livability Awards recognize work in improving the overall quality of life in a city, and Louisville's award was based on the work of the Mayor’s Healthy Hometown Movement (MHHM)! “This award reinforces what we’ve known all along – that Louisville is a great place to live, work and raise a family,” Mayor Abramson said.
