Free Diabetes Classes Being Offered by Health Department

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – (September 26, 2006) Individuals interested in learning about and managing diabetes are invited to attend a series of four free classes being offered by the Louisville Metro Health Department beginning Monday, October 9, at the Park DuValle Community Health Center, 3015 Wilson Avenue.
Classes are free and attendance for the entire series of four classes is encouraged. All classes begin at 1:00 p.m. and end at 3:30 p.m. Phone 574-6663 for reservations or for more information. Class size is limited so please call to make a reservation. The class schedule is as follows:

The Health Department also has a free support group for people with diabetes and their family or caretakers. The group meets the 2nd Thursday of each month from 9:30 – 11 AM at the Park DuValle Community Health Center. Phone 574-6663 for more information.
