William F. Beam Bill’s experience includes over 30 years in the Sports and Entertainment Industry as Food and Beverage Director for Churchill Downs, Project Director for the 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympics, the new Cleveland Browns Stadium in 1999 and the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics. Most recently, Bill was the Project Director for the Community Health Screenings Project and “Unnatural Causes” Town Hall meeting project for the Louisville Metro Department Public Health and Wellness. He is also President of the nonprofit Colon Cancer Prevention Project.

Muriel J.Harris, Ph.D, MPH. is Assistant Professor in the School of Public Health and Information Sciences, Department of Health Promotion and Behavioral Sciences. Dr. Harris is a graduate of the University of South Carolina, School of Public Health. She serves on multiple committees at the University of Louisville and on the Board of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. |

Swannie Jett, BS, MS, manages the Men’s Health Initiative. He is a Clinical Coordinator for the Louisville Metro Public Health and Wellness. He graduated from Tennessee State University (Agricultural Statistics/Engineering) and University of Tennessee (Bio-systems Engineering Tech). Currently, Swannie is completing his DrPH in Public Health at the University of Kentucky. He also serves as a Board member for West Jefferson Community Task Force and National Association of Health Care Executives. Swannie is Commander for the 103rd HHC BSB in Harrodsburg, KY (Army National Guard). |

Dr. Donald L. McNary, Sr. Dr. McNary earned his doctorate at the Spalding School of Professional Psychology and was an Assistant Professor at the University of in Louisville in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences. His research interests focus on the psychosocial stressors that effect medical and mental disorders with an emphasis on anger expression and essential hypertension in African Americans. Dr. McNary also has been an outstanding and active member of the local and regional community organizations. He has been the Center Director for the Whitney M. Young Job Corps Center in Simpsonville, and as the Chair of the Kentuckiana Region National Conference of Christians and Jews. Dr. McNary is an avid runner and participated in his first minimarathon in 2004 and is currently in training for the full-marathon experience! Dr. McNary teaches courses in personality, drugs and behavior, and lifespan development.

Ryan Irvine is Deputy Director of the Louisville Metro Department of Public Health and Wellness and is responsible for department-wide executive administration and management of specialized health programs This includes the oversight of three divisions: Women’s Health and Mobile Unit Services, Community Health Education and Promotion, and Personal and Population Health Services. Irvine previously served as Community Health Services Manager and has been a public servant with the department for 15 years.
Irvine, a Spencer County native, has a B.S. in Allied Health and Dental Hygiene from University of Louisville and is licensed by the Kentucky Board of Dentistry in Dental Hygiene. He also currently serves as a Lieutenant in the Kentucky Army National Guard and has received various specialized training in Emergency Medical Care and Officers’ Leadership Training during his 20-year military tenure. |

Dr. Adewale Troutman has had a distinguished record of achievement in public health education, leadership, research, and advocacy. Currently, he is the Director of the Louisville Metro Department of Public Health and Wellness where he leads the department’s 350 employees in the protection, preservation and promotion of the health, environment and wellbeing for the country’s 16th largest city. In addition, Dr. Troutman serves as an Associate Professor at the University of Louisville School of Public Health |
