The Food in Neighborhoods (FIN) Committee advocates for access to healthy foods for all Louisville Metro residents through community engagement, economic development, and evaluation.

The Active Living committee is comprised of Bike Louisville and Step Up Louisville partners and convenes quarterly conferences on topics related to the built environment. Partners conduct walkability assessments, promote Bike to Work Day, Walk to School Day and other efforts towards making Louisville more bike- and pedestrian-friendly. Contact: SteVon Edwards |

*NEW* The Tobacco Prevention and Cessation committee will convene on topics related to reducing the prevalence of tobacco use among adults and youth and decrease youth initiation rates. Partners will promote efforts towards making Louisville smoke-free. |

*NEW* The Chronic Disease Prevention and Management committee will convene on topics related to improving chronic disease prevention and management by increasing the percentage of adults receiving age appropriate screenings (mammography, pap smear, blood cholesterol, etc). |

The Healthy Hometown Schools committee works collectively to promote and sustain healthy lifestyle choices in all Louisville Metro/Jefferson County Schools through school and community-based health education programs and policies for students, their families, faculty and staff. The Schools Committee envisions all schools in Louisville Metro/Jefferson County will serve as leaders and empower students, their families, faculty and staff to make a lifelong commitment to health and wellness. The Mayor’s Healthy Hometown Worksite Wellness Committee (WWC) assists employers in Metro Louisville in promoting the health of their employees via worksite wellness programs. The committee works with public and private employers to provide training seminars and small conferences periodically throughout the year, including a series of small, dialogue-driven “roundtable” discussions, based directly on feedback from the annual Worksite Wellness Awards Conference.
