Code Alleviation Program
The Louisville Metro Housing & Community Development Code Alleviation Program is designed to assist owner-occupants in the form of grants with eliminating exterior code violations.
To be eligible for the Code Alleviation Program:
- The applicant must be owner-occupant of the property and have resided in the home for at least one (1) year.
- Household must be within the income guidelines.
- Property can only receive Code Alleviation Program assistance one time.
- Must have homeowners and/or fire insurance.
- Property taxes must be paid in full.
- Property must be within the Louisville/Jefferson County Metro area.
- Property must have a roof leak or must have been cited by Inspections, Permits & Licenses Department (IPL) for exterior repairs.
The type of repairs to be made to your home will be determined by a Louisville Metro Housing & Community Development inspection.
