Home Ownership Assistance Program

The Home Ownership Assistance Program helps Louisville residents with downpayment assistance to purchase a newly constructed or existing home with a forgivable mortgage.  Closing costs may also be available.

All applicants must be credit and income qualified, and must attend HUD-approved homeownership classes offered through The Housing Partnership or Louisville Urban League.

Applicants also must obtain first mortgage financing through a local lender.
