Immigrants and Refugees
OIA assists in the process of integration by connecting immigrants and refugees to governmental and non-governmental resources.

Government
OIA serves as the official liaison between Metro government and our immigrant and refugee residents.  Internally, the office assists government agencies and elected officials in meeting the needs of our international population in an efficient and culturally competent manner.  Externally, OIA links immigrants and refugees with important city services and resources.

Social Service Providers
OIA partners with and promotes a large number of agencies and programs that provide direct social services to our immigrant and refugee populations.  The office also assists community organizations in growing their service delivery to serve new populations. 

Business Community
OIA promotes economic and workforce development initiatives that effectively incorporate immigrant and refugee residents into the economic fabric of our community.

Education
OIA provides speakers, seminars, trainings, forums and cultural competency consultations for the community at large.  The office also works closely with adult and school-age English as a Second Language instruction initiatives in both the public and private sectors.   

Students
OIA provides internship, networking, education and volunteer opportunities to students in the community, raising youth global awareness and responsibility.  OIA also connects with International Students through local university programs. 

International Visitors
OIA works with partner agencies to extend a warm welcome to international guests.  The office offers consultations on protocol and orchestrates personalized agendas and visits with important community leaders.
