Government
Government has a large and important role in international and immigrant affairs in Louisville. As a Metro agency, OIA acts as a resource to all Metro Departments to ensure appropriate service delivery and language access.
Interpreters and Translators Learning the English Language can take a long time. During this time of learning, a non-native English speaker may require services that involve a higher level of English at which the speaker is proficient. Therefore, he or she may require an interpreter or translator.
To meet this need, the Office for International Affairs created and maintains a database of trained interpreters. Click here to access the Community Language Bank.
Other resources are available in the OIA International Directory, Interpreter and Translation Services.
