Government

Government has a large and important role in international and immigrant affairs in Louisville. As a Metro agency, the Office for Globalization acts as a resource to all Metro Departments to ensure appropriate service delivery and language access.

Interpreters and Translators
Learning the English Language can take a long time. During this time of learning, a non-native English speaker may require services that involve a higher level of English at which the speaker is proficient. Therefore, he or she may require an interpreter or translator.

Title VI

Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 is a national law that protects persons from discrimination based on their race, color, or national origin in programs and activities that receive Federal financial assistance.
