Louisville Water Takes 1st Place in Taste Test
Tuesday July 27, 2010
The Kentucky-Tennessee section of the American Water Works Association has named Louisville Water's Pure Tap® as the "best tasting tap water" among water utilities in the two states. Louisville Water took the first prize in the regional taste test competition last week in Nashville, Tennessee and will compete for the national award in June 2011.
Louisville Water won the national award for “best tasting tap water in America” in 2008. This year's regional win falls during the company's 150th anniversary. Louisville Water began operations as Kentucky's first public water provider on October 16, 1860.
Louisville Water calls its product “Pure Tap®” to promote the convenience, great-taste and health benefits of tap water. Pure Tap® costs less than a penny a gallon and is available at fountains and faucets across Louisville Metro!
