Paying Your Bill

You have several options to pay your water/sewer bill:
 
  • Return the payment in the envelope provided
  • Bank draft. It’s easy to have your bill processed automatically on the due date through your checking account. Contact our Customer Call Center at (502) 583-6610 or toll free at 1-888-535-6262 or send an e-mail to Customer Service to apply.
  • Fifth Third Bank. You can pay your water/sewer bill at any Fifth Third Bank. To avoid late charges, pay your bill at least five days before the due date. If your due date has passed but your account is not in danger of being disconnected for non-payment, Fifth Third Bank will accept your payment along with any late charges applied to the billing. However, if you are within two days of being disconnected for non-payment, you must pay at the main office or drop it off in one of the depositories at 550 S. 3rd Street to avoid disconnection.
  • Make your payment at our corporate office, 550 S. Third Street. We have two night depository boxes located at the front of the building on Third Street and on Chestnut Street.
  • Pay by phone using a debit or credit card or electronic check* by calling toll free at 1-866-665-4991. *Bill Matrix, a third party payment processor, charges $2.50 per transaction. 
  • Customers in KT Districts #1 and #2 can also pay their bill at our Bullitt County Office: 
              3396 Burkland Blvd.

              Office Hours: 8am-5pm Monday- Friday
  • LWC began collecting service deposits in February 2005. A $50 deposit is now required for:
    • All new LWC customers
    • Any previous bad debt or bankruptcy customer
    • Any current LWC customer disconnected due to non-payment after February 15, 2005, who has not maintained service for more than three years

      The deposit may be waived if a customer provides a letter of good credit from a previous water utility or if payments are automatically withdrawn from the customer’s bank account.
       
      If the customer has a returned check during the first 3 years of service or cancels automatic bank withdrawal, a service deposit will be charged. 

      If service is maintained for 3 years or the account is closed, the deposit will be refunded.
