The Louisville Fire Department’s Fire Safety Trailer is a mobile learning
vehicle. The Safety Trailer is one of the tools available within the Urban Services District to assist in educating children and adults about fire safety.
The Children’s Fire Safety Program is a hands on approach to Fire Safety.
One of the most important uses of the Fire Safety Trailer is the ability to simulate smoke conditions in a bedroom type setting. Non-Toxic Smoke simulates smoke in a sleeping area. The emphasis on this simulation is awareness of the environment around you and of having two means of escape.
